Heated mirrors from BespokeMirrors.co.uk Installation: Ensure the back of the mirror is clean and free of dust. Position the heater pad on the back of the mirror, making sure you do not cover any fixing holes. Starting in one corner peel off the backing tape, sticking the pad down as you go. Connect to your power supply (lighting circuit or seperate switched circuit) in accordance with current electrical regulations. Re-mount the mirror and turn on. Questions: Q: How simple are they to fit? A: Very Simple! You just peel off the backing paper to reveal the self-adhesive backing & press carefully into position on the rear of the mirror. The wires are then connected via your lighting circuit or on a seperate switch in accordance with current wiring regulation. Q: How long do they take to heat up? A: In normal situations the pad will heat the mirror to a few degrees above room temperature within 2-3 minutes preventing the mirror from misting. Q: Does the whole mirror have to be covered? A: No, you can heat as large or as small an area as you like - the demisting effect will spread approx 10-20% further than the pad itself. Q: Can larger areas be heated? A: Yes, by connecting multiple pads together in parallel. Q: Can the demister be cut? A: No, under no circumstance should the demister pad be cut or damaged as this may render the electrical insulation unsafe. Q: Can it overheat if left on by mistake? A: No, as long as the mirror is not covered or thermally blocked, the mirror temperature should not go over 45-50 degrees C which will be completely safe. Q: Can any type of mirrors be used? A: Yes but the heating pad must be in contact with the back of the glass. Heated mirrors from BespokeMirrors.co.uk |
